About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience in financial reporting and reconciliations, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to work in an international business environment in Mauritius.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, and payments.
• Perform bank, ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
• Monitor receivables, payables, expenses, and cash flow.
• Support audit, taxation, and statutory compliance activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience in general accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting activities.
• CA / Semi-qualified CA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
